The Future Leaders Exchange is a federal government program that provides opportunities for students of high school age from Eurasia to spend a year in the United States to experience life in a democratic society in order to promote democratic values and institutions in Eurasia . Since 1993, more than 14,000 students from 12 Eurasian countries have participated and returned to their homes to pursue higher education, to become members of the Alumni community, and move into the job market.
