I am honored to greet the participants of the seminar "Intellectual Property Rights for the Better Future of Ukraine". Just like you, I cannot imagine the future of my country being other than the future of a prosperous and successful nation with a well developed economy; other than the future of a country that would become the source of innovational developments able to compete on the global market. However, such radical breakthrough in the filed of innovative technologies can occur only with the help of highly qualified professionals from all spheres of national economy. Informing our society about the possibilities of the comprehensive economical developments caused by the mass application of intellectual property is crucial for achieving this goal. Being one of the most expensive things, intellectual property, however, remains to be the one bringing the highest profits. This prompts me to conclude that the movement of spreading the knowledge, information and experience in the filed of intellectual property, which you have founded, is the sign of your strategic views and high consciousness. Moreover, I find it to be the sign of your patriotism.
